Certificate and Procedural supervisors and mentors
As a training mentor (Certificate of Women’s Health) or supervisor (Associate Training Program (Procedural) (PTP) and Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) (APTP), your role is to oversee all aspects of training, in close consultation with the Conjoint Committee for Associate Procedural Training (CCAPT).
This includes ensuring that your trainee(s) receive practical instruction, ongoing support and appropriate assessment, to meet the professional and educational requirements specified in the curriculum.
In general, you will:
provide guidance and support
meet regularly with your trainee to review case records, discuss cases, follow up appropriate cases, and review cases referred to consultants
review and sign off their logbook
act as an assessor for the workplace-based assessments (and/or approve appropriate assessors)

Certificate of Women’s Health
To be a training mentor for the Certificate of Women’s Health (CWH), you must hold the Associate Training Program (Procedural), Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural), or Fellowship of 海角破解版.

To be a training supervisor for the PTP, you must hold the Associate Training Program (Procedural), Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural), or Fellowship of 海角破解版, and you must be in active obstetric practice in the hospital where your trainee is undertaking training.

海角破解版 Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural) (APTP)
To be a training supervisor for the APTP, you must hold the Associate Training Program (Procedural) and Associate Training Program (Advanced Procedural), or Fellowship of 海角破解版, and you must be in active obstetric practice in the hospital where your trainee is undertaking training.
However, in some circumstances, one of the two training supervisors may be located off-site, provided there is regular contact between your trainee and the other on-site supervisor. Both training supervisors must be prospectively approved by the College.

Fellowship of F海角破解版 supervisors
To be a training supervisor of F海角破解版 trainees, you must be:
a Fellow of 海角破解版
a full-time or part-time staff specialist (or a Visiting Medical Officer, where appropriate)
employed at a 海角破解版-accredited training hospital (Basic Training only)
Please note that you must also complete the Clinical Education Training Program (CET Part 1 and CET Part 2) prior to submitting a training supervisor application form (or attending the Training Supervisor Workshop).
As a training supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall supervision and mentoring of the trainee, and for conducting three-monthly formative appraisals and six-monthly summative assessments using the appropriate 海角破解版 documentation.

Training Supervisor Workshop
The Training Supervisor Workshop explores the integral role of training supervisors, and delves into the issues you may encounter while balancing workplace demands, College requirements and trainee learning needs.
The interactive format draws on the collective experience of participants and experienced workshop facilitators.
Please note that all new supervisors must attend a Training Supervisor Workshop within one year of appointment.

To apply to become a training supervisor, you must submit an application to your local 海角破解版 office, as outlined below.
Download and complete the following document:
Submit the completed form to your local 海角破解版 office as instructed on the form, and attach the following documents:
a current curriculum vitae (CV)
certificates of completion for the Clinical Education Training Program (CET Part 1 and CET Part 2)
The College will consider your application at the next meeting of the relevant Training Accreditation Committee.
CPD
The College will record your attendance at the Training Supervisor Workshop and CPD hours are available under the ‘Educational Activity Domain’ and ‘Performance Review Domain’.

Resignation
If you wish to resign as a training supervisor, please complete the below form and submit it to your local 海角破解版 office, as instructed on the form.
Birthing suite supervision
The 海角破解版 Board, in consultation with the Trainees鈥 Committee and the College Training Accreditation Committee, has developed guidelines on appropriate supervision of trainees in the birthing unit.

Integrated Training Program Coordinators
To be an Integrated Training Program (ITP) Coordinator, you must be:
a Fellow of 海角破解版
employed at one of the ITP sites (usually the home/base hospital)
a full-time or part-time staff specialist (or a Visiting Medical Officer, where appropriate)
As an ITP Coordinator, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the program across all participating hospitals.

Appointment process
To apply to become an ITP Coordinator, your application must be approved by the relevant Training Accreditation Committee.
Please note that ITP Coordinators are usually training supervisors who have already been approved.
CPD
As an ITP Coordinator, you can claim continuing professional development (CPD) hours under the Educational Activity Domain of the CPD framework.

If you wish to resign as an ITP Coordinator, please complete the below form and submit it to your local 海角破解版 office, as instructed on the form.
Subspecialty program directors and supervisors
Subspecialty program director
To be a program director for a subspecialty training unit, you must:
be nominated within an Application for Initial Accreditation or Application for a Change of Program Director form
hold the relevant subspecialist certification
hold a minimum 0.2 FTE contract at the relevant training unit
maintain currency with the relevant subspecialty training program requirements
As a Program Director, you will be responsible for the coordination of the subspecialty training unit, in close consultation with the relevant Subspecialty Committee.

Extended leave/resignation
In the event that you will be absent from your position of program director for more than four weeks, please notify the relevant Subspecialty Committee in advance, to ensure that alternative arrangements can be made to support your trainee(s).
If you wish to resign from the position of program director, please notify the relevant Subspecialty Committee with as much notice as possible.
To provide notification of extended leave or resignation, please address the Chair in writing via:

To be a training supervisor of subspecialty trainees, you must:
be approved by the relevant Subspecialty Committee as part of the training unit accreditation process
hold the relevant subspecialist certification
hold a minimum 0.2 FTE contract at the relevant training unit
maintain currency with the relevant subspecialty training program requirements
Please note that you must also complete the Clinical Education Training Program (CET Part 1 and CET Part 2) within one year of appointment.
As a subspecialty training supervisor, your primary role is to support the development of trainees鈥 clinical, educational and professional development.
