What is the Leadership for Clinicians Program?
The Leadership for Clinicians Program is a customised online training program targeted at early to mid-career O&G specialists in rural and remote areas. It aims to enhance leadership and clinical management skills, for incorporation into current working practice.
The program has been developed in collaboration with Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) 鈥 a specialist medical college that provides education, training, knowledge and advice in medical leadership and management.
海角破解版 and RACMA are pleased to offer the program at no cost to participants in 2024, with full funding via the Flexible Approach to Training in Expanded Settings (FATES) program. This Australian Government initiative aims to improve and promote a positive rural and remote medical education culture, ensuring a capable and qualified workforce through training and development.
What does the program involve?

The Leadership for Clinicians Program is delivered online and covers six study themes:
Understanding our healthcare system
Clinical governance and medicolegal awareness
Medical workforce management and engagement
Leading strategy and change
Financial governance
Professionalism, leadership and culture
Program format
The Leadership for Clinicians Program includes the following course elements:
Eight online learning sessions (4 to 8 hours per session)
Sessions are interactive and incorporate the study themes
Self-directed learning (4 to 6 hours in total)
Learning takes place between the eight online sessions and includes reading, activities and pre-recorded webinars
Assessment tasks
Tasks are related to the eight online sessions and are scheduled throughout the program

an opportunity to meet all of your annual CPD hourly requirements (50 hours)
a pathway to Associate Fellowship with RACMA (including use of AFRACMA post-nominals), in accordance with RACMA policy
a platform to network, study and connect with peers
no out-of-pocket expenses, with full funding provided through the Australian Government FATES program
(for participants accepted into the 2024 program only)

We are now offering The Leadership for Clinicians program twice in 2024 for our eligible Fellows.

Who is eligible to participate?
To be eligible for the Leadership for Clinicians Program, you must:
Be a Fellow of 海角破解版
Work in a rural and remote area (MMM2鈥7)
Have a current medical registration in Australia
Be willing and able to commit to completing the program including the 8 online interactive sessions, self-directed learning and assessment tasks

How many CPD hours are available?
The Leadership for Clinicians Program has been approved for 92.5 CPD hours, as part of the 海角破解版 CPD program. The College will automatically upload these hours to your CPD portal after you have attended each session and completed all assessments.
Please note that this meets all of your annual CPD requirement of 50 hours.

Next steps
Once your eligibility has been approved , you will receive an email from 海角破解版 advising of your progress through to the next step.
Before the program is due to commence you will then receive a welcome email and application form from RACMA, which will ask you for more information, including:
personal details
medical registration details
curriculum vitae (CV), including years of patient care
current role and employment details
agreement to the program terms and conditions
Following successful acceptance into the program, you will be given access to the RACMA learning management system, known as CANVAS.
Please note that RACMA reserves the right to not proceed with your application if eligibility is not met, or your application is not completed in full.
