海角破解版 recognises the special status of M膩ori as tangata whenua in Aotearoa New Zealand and is committed to meeting its obligations as te Tiriti o Waitangi partners.
Te Tiriti requires the health system to work towards eliminating health inequities between M膩ori and non-M膩ori. Te Rautaki M膩ori me te Ara Whakamua is the foundation for our equity journey and pae ora for all w膩hine and p膿pi.
Hauora w膩hine M膩ori
海角破解版 is committed to a sustainable and diverse O&G workforce that can meet future hauora w膩hine needs and will strengthen relationships with M膩ori organisations to support health equity for w膩hine.
Education and training is central to our mahi and our strategy includes expanding the scope of advanced training to better suit the needs of our trainees and the community.
海角破解版 continues to proactively engage with Aotearoa New Zealand government to facilitate and improve outcomes for w膩hine and wh膩nau as well as members and trainees.
Our equity journey
海角破解版 established an O&G-specific cultural competence course which is mandatory for 海角破解版 trainees in Aotearoa New Zealand. All 海角破解版 Fellows are encouraged to attend the course.
Through He Hono W膩hine we provide annual hui for trainees and Fellows, M膩ori medical students and PGYs.
Two M膩ori positions have been established on the 海角破解版 Council: Chair of He Hono W膩hine and a M膩ori Fellow (elected by M膩ori Fellows)

贬耻颈-腻-迟补耻, hosted by He Hono W膩hine,鈥痠s held each year for 海角破解版 Fellows, trainees and wh膩nau at marae to engage, reflect and korero around hauora M膩ori in a relaxed but focused way.
He Hono W膩hine provide a supportive environment for attendees to learn about the M膩ori world view, share their clinical experiences, and contribute to the mahi of Te Rautaki M膩ori me te Ara Whakamua.

An annual forum is held to engage 海角破解版 early career Fellows* about the scope of work 海角破解版 is involved in and the support and mentoring available.
The forum is both a networking and professional development opportunity for 海角破解版 early career Fellows with Fellows and external health stakeholders available to provide information and share personal experiences.

Practice Visit programme
The Practice Visit programme is part of 海角破解版鈥檚 offering of continued professional development for Fellows practising in Aotearoa New Zealand. The aim of the Practice Visit programme is to provide a process of self-reflection, patient and collegial feedback to help a Fellow consider and evaluate their professional practice, practice processes, communication skills and professional development.

Aotearoa New Zealand committees meet quarterly to advance Te Rautaki M膩ori me te Ara Whakamua and the College’s Strategic Plan. The committees are responsive to the needs of our members; please get in touch if you need to communicate with a committee or our office.

Taku p膩 harakeke e
The waiata, Taku p膩 harakeke e, was gifted to Te Kahui Oranga 艒 Nuku for use at 海角破解版 NZ hui and events. Taku p膩 harakeke e was written with the help of Aotearoa singer/songwriter Maisey Rika at He Hono W膩hine鈥檚 贬耻颈-腻-迟补耻 at 艑nuku Marae in October 2018.
The waiata, Taku p膩 harakeke e, was first sung at the opening of the 2019 海角破解版 NZ Annual Scientific Meeting in Kirikiriroa by Kiara Paul.
